An Overview

The Urban Ministry Center is an interfaith organization that serves poor and homeless people -- our neighbors -- with love, compassion and tangible help by providing the following basic services and programs. This is often the first place people turn to for help in difficult times.  We function as a triage unit of sorts, assessing an individual's immediate and longer-term needs and making appropriate referrals for care within the larger network of Charlotte-area providers, known as the Homeless Services Network.
